Just returned a week ago from a trip with my husband to France, Italy and Turkey. I'd never really been that keen to visit Europe but had a lovely time (despite the crummy 'Spring' weather) but I'd have to say that Turkey was my favourite place. If anyone has the chance to visit I would highly recommend it, especially if you're partial to cats and dogs. There are cats everywhere in Istanbul and I patted as many as I could, and no doubt contracted a few diseases along the way. Hi all,
Thanks for the birthday messages, had a lovely day.
I know I've asked this before, but there are only 2 days left of this competition my sis-in-law Georgia has entered and she has recently lost the lead by quite a bit and is very upset.

Today I said goodbye to a good friend of mine so I just feel like talking about her a little bit.
A few years ago, I decided to enter into a Community Visitor Scheme within the Salvation Army where I would be assigned an elderly resident of a nursing home to regularly visit, who otherwise did not have visitors. I was asked to visit a lady called Adele Beggs. I figured I could spare a couple of hours every week or fortnight to make someone feel special, but little did I know that I would be the one who benefited most from it.

Soon, it's going to be yet another regular day. Birds will sing...cats will meow...dogs will bark...geese will honk and steal peoples stuff.
A typical, simple, regular day.
However, there is a small, tiny, exception. The exception is for you, for that is the time when lightning was thrown from above by Zeus to herald your appearance. Cast in the molten fires of Mount Olympus, and granted with a great creative power, you have been released upon the world to conquer it in whatever manner you see fit! For it has been foretold by those who can see the future that you are great and true, and that it is your time to shout your joy to the heavens, and revel in the knowledge that on that day, it is written for you to have a Happy Birthday, with many more to come to increase your power and complete your creative conquest!
Also there's hand made cake and ice cream from down the street. Those folks make some mighty fine cake indeed. Yum!
